WATSONTOWN — Those who are dedicated to serving the community were honored during the Central PA Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting and awards ceremony, held Thursday afternoon at the Watson, Inn, Watsontown.
Members of Kingdom Kidz, Inc. were also surprised when the nonprofit organization was named the chamber’s 2010 Small Business of the Year Award winner.
Smith said members of the puppet team traveled about 2,500 miles last year while driving to various show locations. Kingdom Kidz also produced its first DVD last year.
Doug Bridge and Bob Snyder accepted the award on behalf of the organization. Bridge said his wife Donna Bridge, founder and director of Kingdom Kidz, is presently out of the country on a mission trip.
“I’m at a loss for words,” a grateful Doug Bridge said while accepting the award.
He also spoke on the strength of Kingdom Kidz and its plans for the future.
“We are growing,” he said of the organization. “Hopefully we can find a building in the Milton area (to move in to). We are growing.”
