Miracle on Main Street
The children in town decide they want to do the Christmas pageant in the center of town, by the courthouse. However, the Mayor says it is election year and he is interested in the votes and it would also tie up the traffic. So the answer is, “no”. But the children are determined to share the true meaning of Christmas with the town and decide to go house to house asking people to contact the Mayor. They approach 2 houses and are turned away. At the third house, a young mother whose husband is away in the military, encourages the children that they should do the pageant and share the true meaning of Christmas with the town. She promises to call the Mayor. (She happens to be the Mayor’s daughter). The Mayor changes his mind and allows the Christmas pageant to happen and asks if he can be in the pageant next year. The children experience a “MIRACLE” in this 45 minute presentation.
